By using Housebrain, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Housebrain.

2. Description of service

Housebrain is an AI-powered home management application that helps homeowners document, track, and manage their home, appliances, and maintenance history.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or older to use Housebrain
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• One account per person
• You may not share your account with others

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Housebrain to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse engineer the application
• Use the service for commercial purposes without written permission

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you add to Housebrain (photos, notes, documents). By uploading content, you grant Housebrain a license to store and display it to you within the app.

We do not claim ownership of your home data.

6. AI-generated content

Housebrain's AI assistant provides information and suggestions based on your home data. This information is not professional advice.

For important decisions about your home — structural changes, electrical work, plumbing — always consult a licensed professional.

7. Limitation of liability

Housebrain is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss, property damage, or decisions made based on AI suggestions.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of Housebrain shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
